Person Falls 6 Feet From Cement Mixer In Brentwood

The injured person was airlifted to a trauma center, fire officials said.

BRENTWOOD, CA — One person was flown to a hospital Tuesday morning after falling 6 feet off a cement mixer in Brentwood, according to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District.

Crews were dispatched around 8:45 a.m. to an address on Bloomfield Court, a cul-de-sac near Sand Creek Road and Garlin Parkway.

Firefighters established a temporary landing zone at the Sunset Park Athletic Complex roughly a half-mile north of the scene and air crews transported the victim to a trauma center.

An update on the person's condition was not immediately available Tuesday afternoon.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
