Road Closures Coming Friday In Concord

CONCORD, CA — Concord drivers should plan for road closures Friday near the Shiva Murugan Temple, according to the city.

Roads will be closed to accommodate inauguration events celebrating the construction and renovation of the temple. The following closures will be in place on Friday:

• Second Street from Unify Credit Union to Concord Boulevard, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.;
• Second Street between Concord Boulevard and Sinclair Avenue, 8 a.m. to noon;
• Concord Boulevard from Safeway's eastern driveway to 50 feet east of the mid-block crosswalk, 7 a.m. to noon;
• Sunset Avenue from Port Chicago Highway to 50 feet east of the mid-block crosswalk on Concord Boulevard, 7 a.m. to noon.
