CONCORD, CA — Get ready to rock around the clock at the Concord Senior Center’s Sock Hop Dance.
This nostalgic fundraiser, set to take place on Saturday, March 15, transports attendees back to the 1950s for a night filled with music, dancing and fun.
The event benefits the Senior Scholarship Program, which is for adults 50 and older on a limited income who wish to participate in Concord Recreation Services Programs.

Those wishing to contribute to the cause are encouraged to dust off their poodle skirts and leather jackets and step onto the dance floor to groove to classic hits from the ‘50s. The evening will feature exciting dance-offs, soda shop-inspired treats, and dinner—all included with admission.
“This event is more than just a dance—it’s an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate, and support our local seniors,” said Ally Pethebridge, Event Coordinator for the Concord Senior Center. “The funds raised will provide scholarships that help seniors participate in valuable programs and activities.”
