Staffing Issues Halt Some East Bay BART Trains
BART officials tweeted about the disruption Tuesday morning.
CONCORD, CA — BART officials blamed low staffing for having to stop train service early Tuesday between Antioch and Pittsburg Center stations.
Roughly 10 minutes after tweeting the service change shortly before 6 a.m. — without explanation or an estimate when the train service would resume — BART officials tweeted again that the outage would last from 6:30 to 9 a.m. and said it was due to staffing.
Officials said Tri Delta buses 380 and 387 are providing service in the interim between Antioch, Pittsburg Center and Pittsburg/Bay Point station.
