Messiah Ajani, age 10, 4th grade has been an Amazing Star for a long time. He started out by being an outstanding Honor Roll student A's and B's. He has been on the honor roll since first grade and is still currently on the honor roll. He has been recognized by his teachers as a role model and team leader and has earned several awards. He began playing sports at the age of 5 in which he has excelled (smallest team member in sports, but large in abilities) which we thought might be an obstacle.

He has not let this deter him. He currently participates in track, football and basketball and has received numerous certificates, metals, trophies, and sports rings, in all categories. He became a big brother to his little sister July 11, 2023 and stated he would be the best big brother ever" and has been just that. While attending delivery of his sister, he's listening to doctor explain to mom importance of skin-to-skin bonding, Next thing you know he sked to hold his sister and immediately took off his shirt for bonding purposes.

His little sister really looks up to him. The excitement, joy and smiles she shows when he walks in the room is priceless. He thinks of her constantly. I take him shopping and he will want to buy things for his sister and not himself. I took all 5 grandkids to Build a Bear and his cheerleader bear was made for his sister. He stated, "she will be cheering me on at my games" .When I keep both kids. My grandson tells me what she will wear, when she's hungry when she needs to be changed etc., he takes great care of her. If I keep her and not him, he calls to check on her and wants to see her on video. He tells me, she's tired and needs to take a nap or go to bed. He's only 10 y.o, and he takes care of her like he's a teenager. He is so proud of his little sister. This little man is so responsible. I could not be more PROUD of him. I told him he will be someone and something great someday, his response was " I already am, a Big Brother and an Athlete".

During the summer of 2022 I (Granny) had knee surgery, he came to take care of me for a week, he helped me guide my leg out of bed, got my walker, fixed me something to eat, got my meds, and coached me. " You are doing good Granny, keep going, you can do it! He stands so I can put my hand on his shoulder to guide me, plus lots of other small things. When it's said Big things come in Small packages, this is truly My Grandson. I Love him Immensely. This is the type of person we really need to pour our support, resources, and investments into. He's a little guy with a big heart.
