Vegetation Fire Erupts In Contra Costa County

The fire was reported at 1:50 p.m. Sunday.

CONCORD, CA -- A vegetation fire erupted Sunday afternoon along state Route 4 in Contra Costa County. The fire was reported at 1:50 p.m. near the eastbound road and Willow Pass, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Initial reports said there were multiple fires along the shoulder, causing heavy smoke in the area.

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was at the scene.
