CONCORD, CA — The Concord City Council is looking for new committee members to help oversee how the city spends revenue from its voter-approved sales tax measure.

At its Tuesday meeting, the council announced a recruitment for two openings on the Measure V Oversight Committee: one seat reserved for a member of the business community, and another open to either a Concord resident or business representative.

Both positions carry four-year terms ending on Dec. 31, 2029.

The committee also issues a public report summarizing its findings and recommendations each year.
Measure V, a one-cent local use and transaction tax approved by voters in 2020, helps fund city services and community projects.

The oversight committee ensures that spending aligns with voter intent and promotes transparency in how the funds are managed.

Members are required to file annual financial disclosure statements under the city's conflict of interest code.
