Attorney: Evidence Shows Coronado Woman Killed In Mansion In 2011
Rebecca Zahau was found dead in a historic California mansion years ago. The sheriff said it was a suicide but family says she was killed.

CORONADO, CA -- The family of Rebecca Zahau, a woman who was found naked and hanging from a second-story balcony in a historic, beachfront mansion in Coronado, is continuing its quest to prove that she did not commit suicide and was instead killed. An attorney for the family announced this week that new evidence proves Zahau was killed six years ago by the brother of her then-boyfriend, Jonah Shacknai, a wealthy pharmaceutical executive.
Zahau was found dead two days after Max Shacknai, the 6-year-old son of millionaire Jonah Shacknai, fell over a second-floor railing while Zahau was watching him. Sheriff's officials said the boy lingered for three days before dying.
In past lawsuits, different members of Jonah Shacknai's family were accused of Zahua's death including his ex-wife Dina Shacknai and her sister Nina Romano.

Attorney Keith Greer told NBC San Diego "will present experts in handwriting, DNA, fingerprints, blood, an expert at tying knots as well as a forensic pathologist" to prove Adam Shacknai, Jonah Shacknai's brother, was responsible.
The Sheriff's Department maintains that Zahau committed suicide. Authorities said they believe Zahau painted a message on a door in the mansion before killing herself. But it was never revealed what that message said.
