Coronado Beach Among Top 10 Beaches In California: Ranking
There are more than 400 beaches scattered along California's 840 miles of coastline.

CORONADO, CA — Three beaches in San Diego County — including Coronado Beach — are among the top 10 beaches in California, according to a new ranking from USA Today.
The publication's expert panel compiled a list of the best beaches in the Golden State, and then readers voted for their favorites. There are more than 400 beaches scattered along California's 840 miles of coastline.
Harbor Beach in Oceanside ranked third, while Coronado Beach ranked fifth and La Jolla Shores Beach ranked eighth.

"Coronado Beach is a coastal paradise, renowned for its expansive shoreline, pristine sands, and the iconic, red-roofed Hotel Del Coronado overlooking the waves, offering a quintessential Southern California beach experience," the publication wrote. "Whether you're surfing the Pacific waves, playing beach volleyball with friends, or enjoying a scenic bike ride along the path, Coronado Beach provides many outdoor recreation opportunities — and not-to-miss stunning Pacific Ocean sunsets."
