Navy Investigating Cause of Parachute Death
The sailor's name was not immediately released.
An investigation was underway today to determine the cause of a parachute training accident that claimed the life of a U.S. Navy sailor assigned to a West Coast-based Naval Special Warfare command.
The sailor died as a result of injuries he suffered in Monday's training exercise in El Centro, the Navy reported without immediately releasing the sailor's name, duty station or other details.
