The Culver City Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) Commission invites the public to participate in a forum on “Healthy Living in Tough Times” that will be held during the May 1, 2012, PRCS Commission meeting.
WHAT: A Community Forum – “Healthy Living in Tough Times: Identifying and Coping with Stress from Financial Hardships.”
WHERE: Mike Balkman City Council Chambers, 9770 Culver Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90232
WHEN: Tuesday, May 1, 2012 – 7:00 p.m.
MORE INFO: Stress from financial hardships can affect relationships and parenting. This forum will help you learn to better cope with stress, which will in turn benefit both you and your loved ones. The forum features guest speakers Michael Tolwin, MD; Kathleen Lally-Arena, RN, MSN, FNP; and, Harry Mitterbauer, BS, NASM-PES, CES. For more information, please see the attached flyer.

Dr. Tolwin is a psychiatrist with over 30 years experience in helping patients cope with stress related symptoms. He is affiliated with the Brotman Medical Center.
Kathleen Lally-Arena, RN, MSN, FNP
Ms. Arena is a nurse for the Culver City Unified School Dis- trict. She will discuss her experience in identifying the behavioral and physical signs of stress in young people.

Harry Mitterbauer, B.S. NASM-PES, CES
Mr. Mitterbauer is an exercise physiologist who understands personal fitness and mental well being are common goals. He will discuss physical techniques to cope with stress.
SHOES FOR THE HOMELESS
Learn about healthy living & donate to a good cause at the same time. Bring your men’s, women’s and children’s lightly used shoes. All shoes go directly to the homeless and those in need.
Donation bins will be available on May 1st during the Healthy Living Forum at City Hall.
