Culver: 3 Suspects Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Grand Theft
Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of attempted grand theft on Monday, Culver City police said.
CULVER CITY, CA — Three suspects were arrested on suspicion of attempted grand theft, possession of burglary tools and possession of stolen property Monday afternoon, Culver City Police officials reported.
Police officers were patrolling the 4900 block of Overland Avenue about 2:45 p.m., saying there has been an increase in catalytic converter thefts in the area, police said.
"Officers observed a suspicious vehicle with two occupants double-parked in the bike line," police said.

"As the officers drove closer, they observed an additional male underneath a parked vehicle, with a Sawzall tool, actively attempting to steal a catalytic converter," police said.
The three suspects were detained and police allege they found burglary tools, along with several stolen packages from the vehicle.
