Culver City Helps Japanese Sister City with Tsunami Recovery
Culver City worked with Kaizuka, Japan, to obtain a grant for relief efforts from Kaiser Permanente.

It’s been over 18 months since the devastating Japanese Tsunami and earthquake, but the country is still in dire need of assistance.
Throughout this period, Culver City, together with its sister city of Kaizuka, Japan, has been working hard, and recently obtained a grant for $11,350 from Kaiser Permanente Benefits Group through Sister Cities International to help the ongoing recovery and relief efforts for those still recovering from the devastation.
Thanks to the teamwork between the two cities, the grant will now be used to assist refugee families trying to establish a new life in Kaizuka City, Japan.
