Culver City Hosts Earthfest L.A. Saturday

Earthfest LA is scheduled for Saturday at West Los Angeles College in Culver City.

Culver City will play home to environmental and healthy living expo Earthfest L.A. Saturday at West Los Angeles College.

The free expo will feature a variety of exhibits, vendors, presentations and even concerts intended to increase awareness about environmental protection, conservation, and healthy living, organizers said.

Among the many exhibitions at this year's event, insurance and policy leaders will help attendees understand the new Obamacare laws in a panel titled "Obamacare Demystified."

According to Earthfest, the panel "will help attendees understand what the new law means for them and what actions they should take, particularly the self-insured and uninsured."

In addition to the Obamacare panel, highlights of the event include:

  • An environmental expo with a range of exhibitions.
  • Healthy cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Shelly Woods.
  • STAR Eco Station booth with activities and recyclable crafts for the kids.
  • Concert by smooth jazz Grammy-winner Paul Brown and Latin groove artist Freddy Ravel.
  • E-Waste recycling event.

All Earthfest L.A. events will take place at West Los Angeles College, 9000 Overland Avenue, Culver City. Free parking is available by entering campus on Jefferson at College Boulevard between Overland and La Cienega.
