Culver City Launches Fraud, Waste And Abuse Hotline
Officials want to make it easier for tipsters to anonymous report anything from bribery to theft of city resources.
CULVER CITY, CA — The city has launched an anonymous hotline as part of an effort to take reports about fraud, waste and abuse of city resources, officials announced Wednesday.
The hotline, launched in partnership with Syntrio, is meant for reporting by city employees, contractors, residents and others. Tipsters can report theft of city resources, record falsification, payroll fraud, kickbacks or bribes, intentional misuse of city property, contractor fraud, mismanagement of resources, disregard of policy and ethics violations, according to officials.
Officials noted that the hotline should not be used for private disputes, housing issues, problems with neighbors or emergencies.
