Culver City Looking into Protected Bike Lanes to Connect Expo Line to Commercial Areas

The proposal would create a two-lane bicycle path, separated from traffic by a barrier, between Robertson and Washington boulevards.

CULVER CITY, CA -- Culver City is looking into a proposal to build protected bike lanes to connect the Expo Line stop to the city's commercial districts, according to KPCC.

Currently, there is no easy way to reach the city's downtown, with its popular restaurants, the arts district and the Expo Line stop, the station reported.

"What we’re trying to do is use bicycle infrastructure to provide an option for folks to get between these areas that are really close to each other but not quite connected," Culver City Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator Eric Bruins told the radio news station.
