Culver City Offering Free Drive-Thru Flu Shots

CULVER CITY, CA — It's now more important than ever to get a flu shot and a free drive-thru clinic will be offered this month for Culver City locals.

As health care front line workers continue to battle COVID-19, health experts are warning that people should do what they can to protect the people they love and prevent a potential "twindemic."

Getting a flu shot can help families stay safe and health officials are recommending people plan to have the vaccine as a precaution. Free flu vaccines will be offered across Los Angeles County, including a location Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Veterans Memorial Building, 4117 Overland Ave., Culver City.

It's available to children ages 6 months and older. Health insurance will not be a requirement.

Flu shots are available while supplies last, officials said.

People can fill out the printable consent form before they arrive to help speed up the process.

"If you're thinking of getting a flu vaccine, Public Health recommends calling your regular health care provider to see what other shots you may need," county officials said.

People who have a regular provider can dial 2-1-1 (the LA County Information Line) or visit the Public Health website for a list of no-cost or low-cost vaccine providers.
