Culver City Police Blotter: Residential Burglary, Vandalism

Here is a recap of crimes from Sept. 4 through Sept. 10 as reported by the Culver City Police Department:

Commercial Burglary:

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 11 a.m., a victim came to the police department to report he was a victim of a burglary. The victim said he has been working on a construction site located in the 9000 block of Lucerne Avenue. On Sept. 2 at 1 p.m., he left the location locked and secured and when he returned the next day he discovered his property missing.

Residential Burglary:

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 2:55 p.m., officers responded to the 6200 block of Canterbury Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officers met with the victim who said he and his wife locked and secured their residence except for a sliding door at 10 p.m. The next day, they noticed some of their property was missing.

Vandalism:

On Sept. 4, 2013 at 10:45 p.m., a man called the police department to report he was a victim of vandalism. The victim said he parked and locked his 2002 Jeep at 10 a.m. in the 6000 block of Carson Street. When he returned at 10:30 p.m., he noticed an unknown type substance had been placed on the hood of his car.

Theft from Building:

On Sept. 6, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., officers responded to the 9500 block of Culver Boulevard regarding a theft investigation. The officers met with the victim who told them his employees came to work in the morning and noticed several items were missing from the location.

Car Burglary:

On Sept. 8, 2013 at 5:45 p.m., a victim called the police department to report his 2013 Dodge van was burglarized. The victim said he parked and locked his vehicle in the 6000 block of Sepulveda Boulevard at 3:30 p.m. When he returned at 5 p.m., he discovered his property was missing.
