Police Search For Culver City Carjacker
Police on Tuesday were investigating the case of a violent carjacking, in which the suspect fled on foot.
CULVER CITY, CA — A man was injured Tuesday after a suspect forcibly stole his vehicle in Culver City, authorities said. The suspect was still at large by the afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene in a neighborhood near Caroline and Sherbourne avenues south of Jacob Street around 1:40 a.m. Residents were warned to stay indoors during the investigation, the Culver City Police Department reported.
Officers learned that a 2014 Mercedes had been taken from the victim by force.

The motorist was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. After a search of the perimeter, police said the suspect was no where to be found, but the vehicle was found disabled in a nearby neighborhood.
The suspect reported fled on foot into nearby residential backyards, police said.
