Suspect Arrested On Suspicion Of Possession Of Drugs While Armed

CULVER CITY, CA — Culver City police Monday arrested a suspect on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance while armed, authorities said.

Police officers were conducting a traffic stop near Washington Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue at about 10 a.m. Monday when they made the reported discovery.

"During their investigation, officers developed cause to search the vehicle and located a loaded firearm, various narcotics and a multitude of prescription pills," police said. "The suspect, who has prior convictions for drug sales, was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance while armed."

The suspect's name was not immediately available.
