Voters To Decide On Sales Tax Hike For Public Safety, City Services In Culver City
Measure CL would generate between $5-6 million annually to fund a range of city services, according to officials.

CULVER CITY, CA — Voters will decide in an upcoming election whether to implement a quarter-cent sales tax to help fund public safety and other city services.
Measure CL would generate between $5-6 million annually "for maintaining three fully-staffed fire stations/ 911 emergency response times; retaining firefighters, paramedics, police officers; homeless reduction services/ encampment prevention; improving parks/ fields; repairing potholes/ streets/ storm drains; senior/ youth services and other General Fund uses," the ballot measure reads.
The election, set for Aug. 26, will be conducted entirely through mail-in ballots.

Those who are not registered to vote but want to participate in the election must register by Monday, according to city officials.
