69-Year-Old Cyclist Killed In Cupertino Crash
The cause of the crash is under investigation, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said.
CUPERTINO, CA — A 69-year-old bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision Tuesday morning, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies at around 11:30 a.m. responded to the 10000 block of N. Tantau Avenue in Cupertino on the report of a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Santa Clara County firefighters pronounced the 69-year-old man dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
“Due to the severity of the collision, the Sheriff’s Traffic Accident Reconstruction Specialist (STARS) team was activated and is conducting the investigation,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

“The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.”
