Caltrain Board Seeking Citizen Advisors
Santa Clara County residents who would like to give input to Caltrain's board are invited to apply to join the rail line's advisory body.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA -- Santa Clara County residents who would like to give input to Caltrain's board are invited to apply to join the rail line's advisory body.
Three seats are open on the nine-member volunteer Citizens Advisory Committee, which provides input on the needs of current and potential rail customers to the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, the
entity that manages Caltrain.
There is one seat each open for a representative from Santa Clara County, Caltrain officials announced Thursday.

Residents who are interested in applying can do so on the agency's website at www.caltrain.com/cacapplicatio... or call (650) 508-6279. Applications are due by May 26.
The advisory committee meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:40 p.m. at Caltrain headquarters, 1250 San Carlos Ave., about a block from the San Carlos Caltrain station. All meetings are open to the public.

The Joint Powers Board is mostly made up of elected officials from the three counties, such as local city council members or board members from other transit agencies; they're appointed to serve on the board.
