South Bay Volunteers Needed For National River Cleanup Day
Want to protect marine life and the food chain from plastic trash in the ocean? Join the National River Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 20.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- Want to protect marine life and the food chain from plastic trash in our oceans? Here's a chance to be a solution to creek pollution.
Volunteers are being sought to take part in National River Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 20 at various locations in the South Bay. You can help remove plastic litter from local creeks and rivers before it travels to the San Francisco Bay.
Volunteers are needed at dozens of creeks and rivers, including locations in Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Altos, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto and San Jose.

Those attending are asked to wear long pants and boots or sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen and hats are also recommended. Necessary cleanup materials, such as gloves and trash bags, will be provided. Kids under 18 are required to be supervised by an adult.
