46-Year-Old Danville Pub Named Among Best East Bay Sports Bars
A recent report dubbed Primo's Pizzeria & Pub the best "family-friendly sports bar option around." Have you been there?
DANVILLE, CA — Primo's Pizzeria & Pub was listed among the best East Bay Sports Bars by Eater San Francisco earlier this month.
The suburban downtown Danville pub on Hartz Avenue offers 39 televisions — both inside and on its "handsome" patio — for sports fans to enjoy a huge selection of games.
Primo's, which opened in 1979, is beloved not just for its bar atmosphere but for its appetizer-filled menu and specialty pizzas like Primo's Calzone with mozzarella cheese, calzone sauce and any two items of your choice. Another favorite is the Thai Chicken with peanut sauce, chicken, green onions, red bell peppers and cilantro.

There are 35 beers offered on draft, including five rotating taps each week. What's more, they offer happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. every day — which isn't terribly common these days. During happy hour, all draft beers, house wines and well drinks are $1 off. Plus, you can get a slice of pizza and a beer for $9.95. Check out the rest of that menu here.
EaterSF dubbed the pub as "the best family-friendly sports bar option around." For children 10 and under, all items on its kids' menu include a drink and cost just $11.95.
