Final Danville Pop-Up Market Canceled Due To Rain
The holiday market and live music at Prospect Park Plaza have been canceled due to the start of the Pineapple Express, the town said.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville's Pop-Up Gift Market at Prospect Park Plaza has been canceled Saturday due to rain, the town said.
This was the final market of the year. Town spokesperson Jenn Starnes told Patch that another market is scheduled some time after the new year.
The rain is part of a Pineapple Express, an atmospheric river expected to bring at least seven days of rain to the Bay Area that will likely mean a rainy Christmas. The National Weather Service said the Pineapple Express - so named because it originates in Hawaii - could dump as much as five inches of rain on California in one day.
