'Back to the Future' at the Village Theatre

Producers of the 1985 science fiction comedy had plans to film in Petaluma before opting for a cheaper Universal Studios backlot.

Movie goers  can travel back in time this Thursday by seeing a 1985 film on the big screen in 2013.

Everyone's favorite sci-fi comedy, Back to the Future, will be showing at the Village Theatre at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 for $5.

A teenager is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown, and must make sure his high-school age parents unite in order to save his own existence.

Rated PG; 116 min.
