DANVILLE, CA — Are you the lucky lottery winner who can declare their independence from money worries this 4th of July?

A MegaMillions ticket sold in Danville is worth $810,362. The winning numbers were drawn Tuesday night and one ticket matched the first five numbers picked but missed the mega ball.

The ticket was sold at Diablo Chevron, 400 Diablo Road in Danville.

No one won the jackpot in the multi-state lottery game, so Friday's jackpot will grow to an estimated $162 million.

For the lucky Danville winner, the federal government will take a 24 percent cut of the prize for federal income taxes.

California is one of just eight states that do not tax lottery winnings. The others are Florida, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
