Danville Can Offload Prescription Drugs At Drug Takeback Day
Police will collect unwanted, unused and expired prescription drugs.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville residents who need to offload unwanted, unused or expired prescription drugs may do so anonymously at the police department's upcoming Drug Takeback Day.
Bring prescriptions to the Danville Town Offices (510 La Gonda Way) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23. Pills, patches and liquids in their containers may be brought to the dropoff. Needles, sharps, intravenous solutions or illegal drugs will not be accepted.
“One of the things that makes Danville a safe place is the partnership between police and the community,” said Danville Police Chief Allan Shields in a statement. “Events like this one encourage residents to get rid of their unneeded prescriptions, reducing the chance for abuse or theft of drugs.”
