Danville Fall Citizen's Academy Now Enrolling

Danville residents will learn the ins and outs of local law enforcement.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville residents interested in learning more about law enforcement are invited to apply for the fall Citizens’ Police Academy, which begins Oct. 9.

Danville officers will teach students about a number of topics, including:

  • Patrol procedures
  • Traffic enforcement
  • Investigations
  • Crime scene processing
  • Crime prevention
  • Criminal prosecution
  • Driving instruction

Classes are held in-person evenings from 6-9 p.m. for seven consecutive weeks, including two Saturday sessions on Oct. 26 and Nov. 9.

Applications are due before Oct. 1. Email your completed application to Lindsay Ortiz at lortiz@danville.ca.gov. Applicants will undergo a background check.
