DANVILLE, CA — Danville leaders will gather Tuesday to kick off the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project, a $4.9 million project to revitalize downtown Danville and improve pedestrian safety and access.
At the historic corner of Hartz and Prospect avenues at 11 a.m., Danville Mayor Karen Stepper will announce the project’s phasing plan, which will begin next week, and show renderings of the improvements. The ambitious plan will take place in phases, the first of which will take place at the intersection of Church Street and Hartz Avenue, and is expected to complete in the late fall.
All businesses will remain open and accessible during the construction, despite possible lane narrowing and traffic flow adjustments.
