Danville Hosting Two Outdoor Holiday Markets Outside Old Starbucks Location
The town will host two traditional outdoor winter markets in December at Prospect Park Plaza.
DANVILLE, CA — The town of Danville is debuting a festive, winter-themed outdoor Pop-Up Gift Market on Prospect Park Plaza on Saturday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 20.
The market will take place at the corner of Hartz and Prospect avenues, the location of the recently-shuttered Starbucks. The town said it hopes that an artisanal marketplace will keep a central part of the downtown humming.
“The town made a significant investment in our community with the Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project, and we don’t want this vacant storefront to subdue the festive mood Downtown,” Town Manager Tai Williams said in a statement. “As we wait for a new tenant in the adjacent building, the live music and pop-up markets offer a wonderful opportunity to support our local entrepreneurs while bringing energy and celebration to Prospect Park Plaza.”
