Danville Looking For Lend-A-Hand Volunteers For Seniors

On Lend-a-Hand Day, volunteers will help elderly homeowners with various yard tasks.

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville is looking for volunteers to help elderly residents care for their homes as part of the 20th annual Lend-a-Hand Day on Saturday, April 27.

Each spring, more than 100 volunteers help homeowners who may not be able to care for their yards themselves. Volunteers can help rake, weed, mulch, and perform other yard work tasks.

Volunteers can be 12 or older, though younger volunteers should be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will meet at the Danville Senior Center to pick up tools and receive their assignments, which are determined by the size and scope of the project.
