Danville Restaurant Among Best For Kids In East Bay: Eater SF

See which cozy Danville restaurant the website thinks is one of the region's best to bring the kids.

DANVILLE, CA — With the kids home from school, kid-friendly activities are more important than ever. That includes restaurants, which can often feature foods and etiquette requirements that some kids don’t enjoy. Eater San Francisco compiled a list of the Bay Area’s most family-friendly restaurants, and its only Tri-Valley entry was Sideboard Danville, a “neighborhood kitchen and coffee bar” named after “that piece of furniture where our grandmother kept everything for us to set our table where we enjoyed her lovingly prepared homemade meals.”

Both the food and decor are an upscale take on a home-cooked dinner at grandma’s house, offering everything from poached eggs and bacon on toast to mac and cheese to delicious burgers and sandwiches. A kids’ menu offers classics like burritos, quesadillas, mac & cheese, grilled cheese, and PB&J.

“The impossibly fluffiest and crispiest tater tots are a must no matter your age, as is dessert — peruse the pastry case for a take-home or in-house sweet,” Eater wrote.
