Danville Robbery: $1.1K In Merch Stolen, Employee Attacked
An Ace Hardware employee was assaulted after he tried to get the license plate number of the suspected thieves, police said.
DANVILLE, CA — Three men are on the loose after a Sunday afternoon robbery that resulted in the loss of $1,100 in merchandise and an assault on an employee at the Ace Hardware store in Danville.
The employee suffered minor injuries.
Police were called to the store at 3438 Camino Tassajara just after 3:45 p.m. following a verbal argument, police said in a statement. Officers arrived and learned that three men stole tools.

An employee tried to get their license plate number and was assaulted by one of the men, who stole the worker's phone and fled with the other two men in a tan Chevrolet Trailblazer.
