Danville Scarecrow Stroll Registration Open
Downtown Danville will soon be full of decked out scarecrows, a beloved fall tradition.
DANVILLE, CA — Hard as it may be to believe, summer's nearly over. In Danville, that means that it's almost time for the Scarecrow Stroll, an annual fall event where downtown Danville businesses are graced by the presence of many different decorated scarecrows.
Registration is open until Sept. 30 for businesses who want to create a scarecrow to be on display from Oct. 10 through Nov. 10. The town of Danville will provide a basic scarecrow, promotion, and maps of participating businesses.
Scarecrows must be on display before Oct. 10, and displayed either outside the participating businesses or on clear display behind a window. Danville residents will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite scarecrows.
