Danville Seeks Artist For Bronze Acorns Sculptures
The town is looking for artists to create small bronze acorn statues to be scattered around downtown.
DANVILLE, CA — Danville loves its oak trees, acorns, and public art installations, so its next project seems a natural fit.
The town is recruiting professional artists from the nine Bay Area counties to apply to create its new public art project, entitled "Acorns of the Old Oak." The installation will feature small, bronze acorn sculptures throughout the downtown to celebrate the Old Oak Tree as a symbol of tradition and strength. The selected artists receive a stipend for a unique acorn design mold, and fabrication and installation costs will be covered by the town.
Artists can apply here before April 4 at 5 p.m.
