Danville Streets To Close For San Ramon Valley Run For Education

Streets around Brookside Drive will experience rolling closures Sunday morning to accommodate a 10K run.

DANVILLE, CA — Several streets in Danville will close Sunday to accommodate the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation’s 39th annual Run for Education.

The weekend-long fundraiser will feature a 10K/5K run, a run for students with special needs, a run for children aged two to six, and an Expo for Education featuring DJs, performances, and tents for local vendors.

The 10K run will start at Charlotte Wood Middle School in Danville on Sunday at 8 a.m. Once the runners are clear of the starting zone, there will be a series of rolling closures along the race route:

  • Brookside Drive between Everett Drive and the Osage Station Park north parking lot
  • Everett Drive between both Brookside Drive intersections
  • Brookside Drive between Everett Drive and Paraiso Drive
  • Paraiso Drive between Brookside Drive and the Iron Horse Trail

Drivers will be stopped at trail crossings while runners pass. All roads are expected to be reopened by 8:45 a.m.
