Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo Announces Retirement
Calabrigo announced he is retiring in June, ending 40 years of service to the town.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville Town Manager Joseph Calabrigo will retire June 30, he announced at last week's Town Council meeting.
Calabrigo began working with Danville in 1985, when he was hired as the town's chief of planning. In 1993, the Danville Town Council appointed him town manager. He is the third person to hold this position since the town was incorporated in 1982.
He has also served as the town's transportation director, administrative services director, and assistant town manager. He helped develop all three of Danville's General Plans, both Downtown Master Plans, and numerous other projects over his 40 years with the town. As town manager, he has delivered a balanced budget each year, including through three recessions and one pandemic, according to the town.

"I’ve lived and worked here for the better part of my life," Calabrigo said in a speech to the Town Council. "It’s been the perfect place for me for a very rewarding career. I’ve met and worked with many talented, dedicated people who have helped me to constantly learn and grow...
And so now it’s time to move forward to whatever that next chapter is going to be for me. I've been incredibly fortunate to do something that’s given me a sense of purpose, that’s allowed me to contribute something and make a difference...And I know that when the time comes, I’m going to be leaving here with a lot of great memories and lasting friendships."
