Danville To Unveil Historic Plaque Thursday
The plaque will honor Halverson Creek, which was home for over 70 years to the Halverson family.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville will unveil a historic plaque Thursday honoring Halverson Creek, the former site of Danville Creamy and Halverson's Livery Stable.
Danville Creamy and Halverson's Livery Stable were established on School Street in the 1890s. For over 70 years, four generations of the Halverson family resided there, contributing greatly to the town's development.
The plaque will be installed Friday at 5:30 p.m. on the west side of the pedestrian bridge between the Front Street municipal parking lot and the Eugene O’Neill Commemorative Park. Danville Mayor Karen Stepper, Town Council members, Heritage Resource Commissioners, and members of the Halverson family will participate in the unveiling.
