Danville, Veterans Memorial Building Hosting Veterans Day Weekend
The town and local veterans organizations are hosting a free museum exhibit and several ceremonies to honor veterans.
DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville and the Veterans Memorial Building of San Ramon Valley are hosting their annual Veterans Day celebrations, which will take place from Nov. 9-11.
Starting Saturday, Nov. 9, the Veterans Memorial Building will host a free open house with displays on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, the 75th anniversary of the Berlin Air Lift, astrophotography, robotics, San Ramon Valley firefighting robots, Danville police drones, and American rockets. Guests can also enjoy the UH-1 Huey Helicopter displayed outside the building.
The exhibit will be open to the public from Nov. 9-11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Veterans, active-duty personnel and their families will be treated to a free Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast between 7:30 and 10 a.m. on Monday at the Veterans Memorial Building. The community is invited to enjoy a ceremony honoring veterans at Monday at 11 a.m. in the Veterans Memorial Building Main Hall.
At 5 p.m. Monday, Mayor Karen Stepper and local veterans organizations will gather at the Veterans Memorial Building to light the Mt. Diablo Beacon. Guests can enjoy the museum exhibit from 7-9 p.m.
