Diablo Road Trail Project Continues To Move Forward

DANVILLE, CA — Progress on the Diablo Road Trail Project is continuing. The Danville Town Council authorized a professional services agreement to design a roadway crossing included in the project.

The trail crossing is at Fairway Drive and would ultimately connect the existing Barbara Haile Trail along the north side of Diablo Road to the new Diablo Road Trail along the south side, the town council said.

100 percent of the project's funds have been secured and preliminary work and assessments have already finished.

The town council says the project has been a vision for more than 30 years. The goal is to close the gap between the existing Barbara Haile Trail and access to Mount Diablo State Park.
