Firefighters Battle Danville House Fire
Firefighters headed to a house fire near the Diablo Country Club Tuesday afternoon.

DANVILLE, CA — One Danville resident was displaced in a Tuesday afternoon house fire.
The San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District was called around 2 p.m. to the scene of a house fire in the 200 block of Valle Vista, near the Diablo Country Club.
The affected single-story, single-family home was left with major damage after an attic fire, said Batallion Chief Dan McNamara. The resident of the home was able to make arrangements to stay elsewhere.

Two nearby homes were left with minor damage. An acre of grass — not on the country club property — was also burned, but the spread of the grass fire was stopped quickly thanks to the fact that neighborhood residents participate in fire prevention training, he said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
