Judge Denies Magee Ranch Project Reports Due to Bicycle Safety Concerns

The 69-unit project in Danville will have to begin their approval process again.

DANVILLE, CA- The 69-unit Magee Ranch project near Diablo Road will have to begin their approved process again, after a Contra Costa County Superior Court ruled that their bicycle safety plans and environmental impact report needed to be re-reviewed.

The judge reportedly refused to allow the Danville SummerHill Homes and SOS-Danville group to make adjustments to the environmental impact report on the project to only access bike safety in the short span of Diablo Road between Green Valley Road and Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard, according to an article in the Contra Costa Times.

The judge said that bike and traffic safety are tied together which affects the entire project design.
