New Danville Mayor To Be Named Tuesday

DANVILLE, CA — The town of Danville will name a new mayor and vice mayor at the 40th annual mayor's installation and community service awards Tuesday.

Renee Morgan and Newell Arnerich are currently the town's mayor and vice mayor, respectively.

The event will honor people and groups who have made an impact on Danville, the town said in a statement.

The Danville Award, service awards and awards of merit will be handed out. Outgoing commissioners will be honored, the town said.

The ceremony is slated for 7 p.m. at the Village Theatre, 233 Front St., and will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.
