New Danville Town Green Pavilion Expected To Move Forward
The town council is likely to approve agreements dealing with a sewage line running under the pavilion.

DANVILLE, CA — A consent calendar item on Tuesday's town council agenda would approve several key agreements paving the way for construction of a new pavilion at the Danville Town Green.
The pavilion will replace the existing bandstand with an open-air structure designed for community events, performances, and gatherings. However, during its planning, workers discovered that both the existing and proposed structures encroach upon an existing sewer line easement maintained by the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, according to a town staff report.
Town staff and the district negotiated a set of agreements to resolve the conflict that would allow the town to maintain the pavilion over the existing sewer line and give the district the right to relocate the line in the future, if necessary. The agreements also require the town to cover additional maintenance or repair costs incurred by the district caused by the pavilion, including trenchless sewer repairs.
