DANVILLE, CA — Clear skies have allowed crews to make progress this week on one of the last components of Danville's Downtown Master Plan Catalyst Project.

Overnight work to complete decorative stamping at several downtown intersections began Monday and is expected to last through the end of the week, according to town officials.

Crews are scheduled to work one intersection at a time, between 10 p.m. and 6 p.m., starting at School Street and making their way along Hartz Avenue to Linda Mesa Avenue.

Each intersection scheduled for stamping will be closed during the overnight time period, with all streets and intersections open regularly from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Loud intermittent noise can be expected in the areas closest to the work zone.

Officials said the stamping is designed to serve a dual purpose, making the roadway more attractive and giving drivers a visual cue that they are approaching an intersection.
