DANVILLE, CA — Over 30,000 students returned to the San Ramon Valley Unified School District Tuesday. In a new video posted by the district, students can be seen waking up, brushing their teeth, getting in the car, and arriving at school, where they’re greeted by smiling friends and faculty.

“The energy is both invigorating and infectious. Being with students and staff on any day, but especially the first day of school, is a powerful reminder of why I love what I do. There’s truly nothing better,” SRVUSD’s new Superintendent CJ Commack said in a statement. “I want to thank our dedicated staff, who have worked tirelessly to ensure we were ready to welcome students today and support them in every way possible.”

Above, enjoy just a few moments from the first day. You can see many more here and in the video.
