Call for Student Artists from SRVUSD Original Artwork Sought for Danville’s Community Pianos

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville is seeking middle and high school students from the SRVUSD to submit original designs for the re-painting of the Danville Community Pianos for the summer of 2022. This project is open to current middle and high school students, including the graduating class of 2022 high school seniors. The artist call opens on May 5 and closes on May 20, 2022.

This summer, the Town will place community pianos outside the Danville Senior Center, Danville Community Center, and the Village Theatre & Art Gallery for the public to share their musical talents with residents and visitors alike.

Artists can submit colored sketches of their design for a piano. Templates can be downloaded at www.danville.ca.gov/vtart. Entries are limited to one design per person or art team. Artists are free to illustrate any concept appropriate for public display and should consider that their design needs to clearly represent how the final project will look. Original designs can be submitted to artgallery@danville.ca.gov from May 5 until 10:00 p.m. on May 20, 2022.
