DANVILLE, CA — January is School Boards Recognition Month, a time to honor the Board of Education Trustees who play a key role in the success of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District.

SRVUSD is proud to join local educational agencies in recognizing the contributions of board members during School Boards Recognition Month, district officials said Wednesday in a news release. As schools work to accelerate learning and support student wellness post-pandemic, board members play a key role in setting the foundation, policies and priorities to support optimal student outcomes.

"Board members are our elected representatives and a vital link between the school district and the community," said Dr. John Malloy, SRVUSD superintendent. "The board set clear Strategic Directions for the district and continues to support our students and staff by directing resources where they are most needed and ensuring accountability by monitoring progress toward goals."
